Charity Partner - Remembering Rebecca Charity

The Teesside charity was established in memory of Rebecca Sands who was born in October 2008, and at the age of 10 weeks was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder called lissencephaly which means smooth brain, in August 2010 aged just 21 months Rebecca sadly passed away. The charity aims to provide financial assistance to families of children from birth to 16 yrs with lissencephaly and other neurological conditions.  It also offers breaks for children and families through the “Creating Memories” scheme and provides activities for siblings of children with disabilities and life limiting illnesses.
