Sunday horse racing is the perfect way to end the weekend on a high. Whether you’re an avid racegoer or new to the sport- horse racing this afternoon will fill you with thrills.

A Return To Racing

Following feedback from last year's event, we've made some changes to ensure this year's Durham National delivers the experience our racegoers expect.

The Durham National will once again be a dedicated raceday, with the focus firmly on competitive jumps racing, a great atmosphere and an enjoyable day out. It will no longer be combined with a Family Fun Day or Student Raceday, allowing us to put the spotlight back on one of the highlights of our racing calendar.

We appreciate the feedback we received and look forward to welcoming both returning and first-time racegoers for a fantastic Durham National.

The Durham National at Sedgefield is one of those races you don’t forget. 🏇Having been run at Sedgefield since 1955 there’s no race quite like it here. It’s tough, testing both horse and jockey over a long distance and plenty of fences.
