- Durham National - Sunday 19th October | A fixture at Sedgefield since 1955, The Durham National is the biggest race to take place at the racecourse. The race happens every October and is run over three and three-quarter miles.
- Boxing Day Races - Friday 26th December | An age-old tradition and a fantastic reason to watch some exciting live horse racing away from the Christmas chaos.
