Getting to the Racecourse 

Located just outside the village of Sedgefield, Sedgefield Racecourse is easily accessible by road, rail and air.

By Road

Sedgefield is conveniently placed five minutes from Junction 60 off the A1(M) and is clearly signposted from there. By Air

Teesside International Airport is located 11 miles away and is situated between Teesside and Darlington. Helicopter landing facilities are available at the course by prior permission, please contact us for more information.

By Train

The nearest mainline stations to Sedgefield are situated in Darlington and Durham, which are both approximately twenty minutes away by car or taxi.

By Bus

From Durham bus station you can catch the X12 to Sedgefield Racecourse which departs every half hour on weekdays and hourly on Sundays and takes approximately 40 minutes.

"An absolute joy to go racing at. The recommended bus start point is Durham, easily accessible on the London to Edinburgh line and the Cross Country Newcastle to Plymouth line. The X12 is the bus of importance, running from Durham bus station . Departing half hourly on weekdays and hourly on Sundays - an excellent Sunday service leaves approx 20 mins past the hour, arriving in Sedgefield 40 mins later. The course is a lovely 30 minute walk southbound from the town centre, worth every step and a warm welcome awaits at one of ARC's jewels.”
