THE FINAL HURDLE TO SEDGEFIELD TRADITIONAL FIXTURE

The loyal team at Sedgefield are gearing up to spend time with customers here at Sedgefield Racecourse over the festive period.

With more than 4,000 people due to descend on the track from across the region the day after Christmas the team have been busy preparing for this annual event, now the most popular within Sedgefield’s racing calendar.

Amongst the 149 entries are Sedgefield’s leading trainers Brian Ellison, Sue Smith and Micky Hammond. Local Trainer Rebecca Menzies; Yorkshire’s top trainer Tim Easterby and 2008 Grand National winning Trainer David Pipe have also entered horses alongside Sedgefield’s loyal Trainers, Donald McCain, Dianne Sayers and Malcolm Jefferson.

The first of seven races will get started at 12.00pm and live racing from Kempton Park, including their big race of the day, the King George VI, will be aired on the big screen.
